CD Review: Anna from the Heart
Anna Lipscomb's CD Anna from the Heart was a labor of love. The CD includes one original song by Anna, “Heart for Haiti,” which God inspired after she made her first trip to Haiti in 2008. Through the eyes of a child, Anna quickly developed profound empathy for the plight of Haiti's abandoned children. Her desire to alleviate the intense suffering of these orphans motivated Anna to produce Anna from the Heart.
”From the first time I met the orphans in Haiti when I was 11, I had an instant connection with them. The love I felt was some of the deepest love I had ever felt toward others. I thought I was there to bring them joy, but instead, they left me with more joy than I could ever imagine. What I was loving in them was Jesus. Seeing them so happy and playful in the midst of such horrible conditions made me realize that instead of thinking those poor kids who have nothing, I thought, those blessed kids who have everything. This left me forever changed,” said Anna Lipscomb, age 15.

Anna from the Heart
Anna from the Heart has a seven song playlist: “Heart for Haiti;” “Come and Sing;” “Come Behold;” “Just As I Am;” “The Old Rugged Cross;” “Praise to the Lord, the Almighty;” “This is My Father's World.”
With six years of music training and performing violin-saxophone duets with her father, Anna was prepared for the wonderful world of the recording studio. In addition to the inspirational original message in “Heart for Haiti,” Anna from the Heart also includes two original songs by Pastor Ken Davidson. It is a divinely appointed CD containing the musical genius of several of Kansas City's most gifted independent music artists, and is highly recommended for its quality crafted inspirational music.
